What's it about?
Divergent takes place a futuristic dystopian Chicago. The society as we know it has been disbanded and five factions remain in its stead: Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, and Erudite. Tris Prior and all the our sixteen year-olds in Chicago must choose between them and set the course of the rest of their lives. Tris' choice comes with fearsome challenges and the realization that she is different from most of society. And everyone is threatened by that which they do not understand. Can Tris keep her secret and simply survive faction initiation?
Why should I read this book?
Divergent is a compelling tale that has been consistently thrilling all whom have read it, including us! All of the characters are so well-written, especially Tris, who is a strong, powerful woman. You'll immediately long to be part of her world because it's so rich and exciting.

The book is the first in the trilogy. The sequel, Insurgent, will be released May 1st. Summit has already optioned the rights to a film adaptation of the trilogy.

You can pick up Divergent at any major book shop, via Amazon or any other online book retailer, or in E-book format for your Nook or Kindle. The book has been out for a year, so you may also find it in your local secondhand bookstore!
