I saw the movie yesterday and I think it's uh-mazing. It was even better than I expected. I thought you'd see Seneca only one or two times but he was there the whole time, YAY! (Yes, I think he's very attractive, hehe). Only the Cornucopia was so much different than in my fantasy. Oh well, I loved it!

Off-topic: I LOVED visiting this site. I was addicted to it. But, then school happened and I tried to come back and the link didn't work. And I kept searching and couldn't find it? I thought the forum section had been shut down! But, now I have randomly found it and can't wait to start up my obsession again!
SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE!!! Back on topic: I can't list all of my thoughts of the movie into a small post. I just can't. I have seen it four times and have really caught a lot of the details and for me to review it all? Impossible! So, instead I am just going to list my top favorite scenes:
1. Seneca Crane's death. Without a doubt. This was such an amazing addition to the movie and it just shows how twisted Snow really is and gahhhhh! I just love it! 2. Katniss' tracker jacker hallucination. When she reminisces back on her father's death, and then his absense. JLaw's acting here just rips my heart right out of my chest. 3. The uprising in District 11. Enough said. 4. Cato's speech at the end. Flawless. 5. The tracker jacker scene as a whole. Loved it so much!
Plus, some of the other small things such as Haymitch watching a Capitol child pretend to kill his sister with his new sword, "That is mahogany!", Katniss running into Foxface... this movie brings out all kinds of emotions in me!

Was going to add this to me previous comment, but didn't want to make it too long.
My only two complaints about the movie: 1. The arena didn't seem scary enough. As a teen myself, I can't imagine a scarier place to be than trapped in an arena like that. I don't know, but it almost seemed too "easy"? It needed that "kill or be killed" vibe, or the "I am being hunted down right now by someone that wants to spill my blood" type of thing. Maybe it was the lack of wounds? I understand that the rating restricted this (I never wanted a R-rated movie-- I have always been behind PG-13), but I feel as if it could have been pushed just a tiny bit further. 2. Lack of character development. Specifically Peeta and Rue. My mom, who has never read the books but saw the movie with me, thought Peeta was just really weak and a little dim-witted. They should have upped his charm factor and sweet demeanor. I am bothered more with Rue's character than with Peeta's. Amandla did a great job with the character, but the script didn't do her acting justice. Rue should have had at least five-to-ten minutes more of screen time. Her death would have impacted a lot more if she had had those extra minutes.
But, those are the only complaints I have. I love Gary Ross so much and his passion for the series just made me want to give him a giant fandom-hug, but I hope that the new director helps improve on these two points.
