Hey everyone, I was just wondering what people thought of Book 4?
I am an avid Inheritance fan, but for me, book 4 was a bit of a disapointment. Don't get me wrong, I still loved it, but the ending annoyed me somewhat, I don't understand why Eragon would just leave everything. And it still left a heap of questions unanswered, such as what the seven words Brom whispered to Eragon upon his death were, what the Menoa tree took from Eragon, and why FÃrnen has yellow eyes? I really hope Christopher writes another book, as he has been hinting he might. Inheritance just leaves too many unanswered questions for me!
But I did love the scenes with Nasuada and Murtagh, and the scenes in which Eragon faced the King.
But that's me, what did everyone else think of it?

Yeah, i have to say it left a lot of loose ends. But the fangirl in me just LOVED the Nasuada/Murtagh thing. Part of me was all "This shows how Murtagh has matured and cares for others. It will allow him to change his true name and help in the fight against evil." and the other part of me was going "OMG that is soooo freaking cute, they're amazing together!!! Squeee!!!" but OHMYLORD ARYA! that was just...i laughed. I mean, what sort of stupid coincedence was it that the egg just HAPPENED to hatch for her. And the dragon HAPPENED to be Saphira's perfect match? It was kind of like a fanfiction really. totally unrealistic.

I know, EVERYONE was expecting the egg to hatch for Arya, which it did. I was hoping for some unpredictable turns, in which it was very lacking. And we all knew that the Vault of Souls had Eldunari and eggs in it, we all knew that Saphira was not the last Dragon in existance, that was no surprise. I just really hope Paolini does write the next book...

He'd better. Else there'll be rauctions. But seriously, i'm sure he will. There was a note or somehting at the back of inheritance about how he put too much effort in to alegasia to drop it now.

I agree. Too many loose ends (although I loved the subtle doctor who references And the funny thing was as soon as my friend got to the bit with the egg she said to me I bet the egg will hatch for Arya. Loved Nasuada and Murtaugh though!!

I was kind of dissapointed that the egg hatched for Arya, but if it hadn't there would have been a new character to introduce which wouldn't work right at the end of the series. The death of Galbatorix left me reeling becuase it was so fast and that wasn't how I expected it to happen. Although there was no way Eragon could have defeated him in a normal fight. And even though it had been established all the way through the series that he would have to leave and never return, I didn't want him to go

I wanted Murtagh to go with him. "I will make up for my mistakes by training new riders, and me and Eragon can work out our issues." although, now that I think about it that would have spawned some very interesting fanfiction...

I honestly, had my mind blown away, but was a bit disappointed that the egg was hatched for Arya. But- near the end, I was very amazed that how Eragon had actually become so wise to figure out his strategy. But, like all four books, Christopher Paolini amazed me with his words, which I truly love. Quite an excellent way to end the books! (:

It makes me laugh how Eragon's three best friends (not including Saphira and Roran, cause they're his family) are the three most powerful people in the country. Orik, Arya and Nasuada. A king and two queens XD

I am so wondering if Christopher is going to make another book! I am really wondering what will happen to the little connection of Arya and Eragon. (:

He said he will write another book about the lands... (said so in back). im hoping it will be a hundred or so years after this series ended becuase it would be amazing to see how Eragon turns out after living as long as 'The Cripple Who Is Whole'. But in this book itself i found it amazing....didn't figure there would be eggs or dragon hearts in the vault (was assuming it would be other riders)... But i hated the part where Saphira and Thorn defeat Galbatorix's dragon in like a minute flat -.- . i was hoping for some amazing acrobatics and sky diving killing action :/.
on a side note... anyone think they will remake the Eragon movie? or move on and make Eldest like they are for the Percy Jackson series?!?

Oh my freaking -- They need to remake the entire movie! They made Eragon defeat Galbatorix in that movie! The series is four books long. Gods. -sigh-
And as for the writing, I am really really, dying for the next book Chris is going to write for the series. It would be amazing if it was set in one-hundred years later or so. That'll give it some time for the world to remake itself from the evil that had passed on. So, I am really hoping how this will turn out. (:

They absolutley HAVE TO remake the movie. I've made a list of things they have to change. 1- Make Saphira prettier and more graceful when she's older, and freaking cute when she's little. 2-They need hotter actors for Eragon, Roran and Murtagh. (esp. Murtagh) 3-GET IT RIGHT! Stay closer the the plot, it'll make it easier to do future movies. 4-just generally make a better movie. I have friends who won't read Eragon because the movie is so bad. It's shameful. :L

That is exactly why my friends won't read the books. Cause they've heard/watch that the movie is terribly wrong! Just imagine how much shame that put Christopher Paolini in!! I would be: MEH.
