Obviously all of the character are amazing in their own ways, but who is your favorite? (pr favorites if you can't decide I love Pippin, personally.

Pippin, oh gods, he is an immediate fool! Fool of a Took! But, he is well, one of my favorites, but not the top favorite. Mine, is probably Legolas, the Prince of Mirkwood. (:

Legolas is perfect! Almighty fine choice, if I may say so myself.

I have to admit, I have something of a book-crush on Beleg CĂșthalion, from some of the other Middle-Earth stories. I don't think he was ever in LoTR, though. Which is a massive shame. He's vastly underrated.
In LoTR, I think my favourite character was probably Faramir. He was just a generally decent guy, and I always feel like the fandom overlooks him, because he wasn't a "major" character. He was a good bloke. I liked him.

My favorite LotR character would likely have to be Eowyn. I love how she defied social mores in order to take matters into her own hands, make her own way, in order to do the right thing. She also had some of my favorite lines--in addition to the usual "I am no man!" there is also this exchange (with Aragorn): "I fear neither death nor pain. "Then what do you fear?" "A cage." From The Silmarillion, I love the Valar. Among them my favorite would have to be Nienna (the goddess of compassion) or Tulkas (the god of kicking ass). I have to admit, I have something of a book-crush on Beleg CĂșthalion, from some of the other Middle-Earth stories. I don't think he was ever in LoTR, though. Which is a massive shame. Oh, God, it's been ages since I watched the films, and I don't have them on DVD. (I know, I know, I'm a terrible fan.)
I remember feeling a bit disappointed by the film's treatment of Faramir. He kind of struck me as being portayed a bit as "Boromir's wishy-washy little brother". But, then again, I was about 12 when I watched it. It was a while back. On the other hand, of the parts that I do remember, there were bits where he was quite similar to the way I had always imagined him, as a character.
And that's about all I can say on the matter without starting to talk out of my arse. I'll need to re-watch the films and re-read the books, and then I will absolutely give you at least a paragraph's worth of answer. xD

Bobby Hill is my favorite character on King of the Hill, which aired on FOX from 1997 to 2009. He's the SpongeBob of the group, always optimistic, a dreamer.
