Have YOU ever thought that Uriah might be more than just a really friendly Dauntless guy? Apparently, a lot of Roth fans have! Please go check out our fandom page to see what Roth had to say when asked about Uriah and Tris' future! divergentfandom.net/2012/02/29/veronica-on-tris-and-trisuriah/Post here on the forum and on our page... I'd love to get a great discussion going on, especially with Insurgent out in a few months! If you check out the post, you'll also see what Veronica had to say when asked about similarities between her and Tris!! Personally, I think that there is something more to Uriah that we just don't know yet! Or at least I hope there is, I loved his character!

I always liked Uriah, he seems like a great, easy-going guy. I think I like him and Tris more as friends, but it could work out I guess. And if Roth says that there wont be a love triangle in book two, I doubt that there'll be one at all. You can't really establish and conclude a love triangle in the space of one book, so unless Roth wants to write more (please?! Oh, it's trilogy it'll never happen) then no one will care that much about it. Maybe when she says that there won't be a love triangle, she means that Tris won't have any feelings for anyone other than Four, not that Uriah won't have any feelings for Tris. I just hope he hasn't died in the Erudite-takover

I could see a connection between Tris and Uriah, but like it's been said, I really just see them as friends. I definitely think Four and Tris are a better match, and like Sashbash said, there isn't really much space to develop a love triangle and still establish a plausible ending.

I always saw Uriah just as a nice/friendly guy. From what is written in Divergent I don't get the feeling that he is romantic feelings for Tris. He might be teasing her when e.g. he asks her to sit on his lap while waiting for the fear landscape but I think that's just a gesture of friendship and nothing more. I definitely hope that we get to see more from Uriah in Insurgent. And by the way I'm so happy that Veronica says there won't be a love-triangle. Lately I've read to many books with one so it starts to get boring.

I also see him as a good friend to Tris, but if his actions from Divergent are slight implications of his feelings for her, then it's quite obvious. If not, then it seems like he's just a pretty good friend to her. :) As for the love-triangle thing, I'm not closing doors of anticipation. I kinda want to see a jealous Four/Tobias, whieee :P Maybe not entirely a 'love triangle' which would have Tris like anyone else other than Four; maybe just that Uriah or anyone else (I'm thinking Robert) will express love for her. ;)

Uriah is my favorite character and he is pretty much flawless (just think about it, seriously) But I don't see him with Tris. He's just way too nice to do that to Four, and he's supported fourtris through the whole series and he just is like, her best fried, except that he's not, cause Christina is, which is silly because he's there for her a lot more than Christina, and yeah, I'm going to stop this ramble SORRY.

Tris is with Tobias. I just honestly can't see them ever splitting. I know they have their moments of doubt, but that's because they both have such dominant personalities. It'll be hard, but I think they really love each other. And since I feel so strongly about that, I just can't see a Uriah/Tris romance. It reminds me of a backwards Hunger Games: In HG, Katniss went for Peeta because she wanted someone who wasn't angry all the time. But in Divergent, Tris goes for the more Gale-ish character. Just a thought.

Uriah is awesome. I do think that if the two got together it would be wonderful. If they didn't start going out, it wouldn't be tragic. Four and Tris should remain a couple for the most part though- just for the books sake- even though Uriah and Tris together is a definite great thing.
