I haven't seen the movie, nor finished Lighting Thief (almost there!), but I like the cast for Percy. I actually imagine him while I am reading as Logan Lerman. And Logan Lerman is just, ooohhh

Wasn't there a Miranda or someone in the Lost Hero? I don't remember anyone named Miranda... but then again, I'm most familiar with the Apollo kids that got mentioned....

Eh, I agree that he was a good Percy... I just don't find him THAT hot. Luke, in the movie, was hot, but that is it....

The movie was a complete disapointment. I could rant forever on how terrible it was. In fact, i dont think they ahve a right to call it "THE PERCY JACKSON MOVIE" They changed basically everything, it's not even right. Its not anything like the book. Really, all they kept the same was the names -_- What i found the absolute worst, was Alexandra Darrido or wahtever her name is. The exact worst person they could cast as her. It was so completely awkward i cant even. She is nothing like Annabeth. And then she almost kisses Percy, oh my gods they are suppsoed to be TWELVE. The movie in three words: crash and burn. Rant over.

Agree, it was nothing like the books. If you imagine it as a seperate thing, it's sooo much better.

The differences from the book make me kind of wary about the SOM movie that's supposed to be coming out. I mean, why couldn't Rick get involved in the script or the casting or something, the way Suzanne Collins did? Some people online who saw the world premiere for the Hunger Games said that it was the best adaptation of a book they'd ever seen! It had to be this fandom didn't it

I was bored one day and decided to go to Rick's site. In the FAQ section, he talks about the movie. He says that he didn't get involved or even watch it because he didn't want the movie to alter his vision. This just comforted and supported my thinking that the movie is something seperate from the books.
