I rather like her character, although I'm not fond of how fast her identity was revealed or obvious her identity was. I kinda wish they dragged her out a lot longer. I liked being on the edge of my seat about who she was and then when we found out who she really was it was like a water fall and we got drowned in her. It doesn't take away from how much I adore her though. I love her attitude and the way she carries herself. "Hell in high heels" She talks to the Doctor as if he was any other person and I like that about her. She sees the Doctor as a person, not the timelord. I feel like the Doctor needs that sometimes.

I loved her character so much, but I hated the whole wife thing, just saying. But the reveal was way to obvious.

I like her character, but I really find it out of character that he actually married her. The reason he never actually ended up with Rose is because he didn't want to watch her get old or die, and since he already witnessed River's death, he should know it's only going to hurt him in the end. Also her character is not the best influence on the Doctor and seems a bit too shallow and obvious. We know pretty much all that we could know about her personality and there is not much that hasn't revealed itself already, and we know exactly what kind of person she is. Don't get me wrong, I really love her, but she seems a bit too much of a bad influence on the Doctor. And kind of seems to have replaced Jack in a way.

I think the reason he was okay with marrying River was he knows when shes going to die. He loves her, or at least is rather fond of her. He might regret letting Rose go (which I'm okay with, I feel odd one out cause I really didn't like her) and decided that he can't lose another one. He knows how much time he has to make her happy. Or maybe its because of her life, the whole her being programmed to kill him thing, that he feels like he has to make the most of the time she has left. He knows exactly when she dies and feels like its his fault she never got to live the life she should have. He might just be giving her exactly what he knows she wants.

Okay, that makes me like her more because it actually makes a ton of sense!!! And it makes me like 11 more too, because it gives his character more depth! One of the reasons I like River's character is because she is so conflicting! Although it was a bit too obvious for my liking, she is pretty cool. I totally understand why you don't like Rose, she is a bit of a Mary Sue, but she is important to the Doctor because she basically fixed him after the time war.

I love that River is Melody Pond. I think that is so freaking cool! And the prayer leaf thing was so brilliant. That whole idea was pretty flawless (though a bit confusing at first). And yes, River does indeed have two hearts! Though I love River's role as Melody Pond, I"m not a fan of her involvement with The Doctor. I would have liked her much more if she would have been like Donna, more of a best friend. I feel almost bad for her because she's so in love with The Doctor and he has no idea why. Yes, their timelines are reversed and that's a pretty cool plot in itself, I just feel like she's almost like Martha in the sense that it will never be FULLY reciprocated. What episode do you find out she has two hearts?? To my knowledge that is not said in any episode. Regenerating is to do with being linked to the eye of tranquility not the tardus. She understands the tardus and has a link to it that is why she knows so much more then the doctor. But she doesn't know everything the tardus knows as she would have knowledge of all time and space.

I did like her, more for the twists that came along with her than the character herself but she was rather interesting too. In the beginning she was better, especially the very first time we saw her, because it was so confusing and you just wanted to figure it out. I have to agree, though, with the people that said it became so obvious what was going to happen when Amy said I'm pregnant and such.

please. River is nothing like Martha or Donna. River is able to stand on her own with the doctor. She isnt with him cause she's inlove with him and he isn't reciprocating. He flirts with her as much as she does with him. She's more than Martha, Donna or even rose because she is more than them. River is a Time Lord, born of humans.
