There was a thread like this on another forum I frequent, so I wanted to bring it over here.
When have you seen/done something and it reminded you of The Hunger Games?
A few moments of mine:
Every time I go to church, I pass a sign that says District 4. I go to school with a girl named Effie. In my history book, there was a mention of a person named Cato.
That kind of thing. So, post your moments here!

There's a bar in my home city of Pittsburgh called District 3. I'm like "....I have to go in there." but none of my other IRL friends are THG fans like me and they know I am and just make fun of me.

I live in Pittsburgh.. had to look this up! Not too big on bars.. but my friends are. I've actually been there and it's not nearly as neat as I think a bar in District 3 would be! So you're not missing much On another note. North Korea reminds me of THG IRL because the leaders do starve the country in order to control them... *sad shrug* ... its books like this that I hope open minds to start thinking about IRL things from the books.

Our dining table at home is Mahogany so every time someone touches or even go near it I'd be like, "THAT IS MAHOGANY." That's pretty much it. :) Attachments:

After seeing the Hunger Games movie my friend and I were in the mall and she got food from Kato's chicken and we kept joking that Cato never really died, he just changed the spelling of his name and opened up a chicken shop XD

My mom asked me if I wanted some sugar cubes to take to the stable with me. I died laughing.

it's hard not to like, my class was so addicted these girls gave everyone in the class a tribute from the hunger games. i'm supposed to be an unnamed tribute for district 4 who is a career in the book but dies in the bloodbath in the movie :/
