Does anyone know if there is a way to get out of the fields of Asphodel and into Elysium?

I think that the Fields of Asphodel is the last stop. You can't get out. You can only get to Elysium if you do something heroic in your life, but the Fields of Asphodel is for people who led ordinary lives.

Or people who would sacrifice Elysium for their mothers. Asphodel sounds horrible, like being alone in a crowded space for eternity. People who have normal lives don't deserve that.

Those clicking noises that Percy says the souls in Asphodel make... Do you think that they can understand each other? Because if they couldn't... Nobody deserves that. And anybody who does would be in the fields of punishment anyway. It reminds me of the Spackle genocide in the Chaos Walking trilogy. You get a great description of how it feels to be surrounded by people but not being able to talk to them becuase your voice was taken away and you can only make clicking noises. It's heartbreaking

PJO and Chaos Walking are two of my favourite book series's! Have you read the prequel about Viola and her parents on the settler ship? It's really sad Being a soul with no memory or way to comunicate... in a way it's as bad as the Fields of Punishment.

If you search it on Google then it should come up with a link to a website. Otherwise you have to download the E-book or something and I prefer actual books so I wouldn't know anything about that

Thought it would be good to have a thread for just general question and answers that come up. For example... How is Mr D a god? I thought he had two godly parents but someone said he was turned into one... I haven't read Son of Neptune yet, so it might be in that. But it the mean time, anyone know why? actually there is another version of the myth that could help explain to you why dionysyus was made a god so basically because he was zeus son he was a demigod so he lived on earth and basically invented wine and zeus and the other gods were so austounded and happy with his discovery that zeus proceded them to make him a god because thirteen is anunlucky number and there were allready twelve gods and godesses hecate gace up her throne to mr.d

I realized something looking at a deity list earlier, Pine trees are one of the iconic plants of Poseidon, so why did Zeus turn Thalia into a Pine tree instead of his own iconic tree, which is Oak?

If your so curious about Elysium why don't come on down to the Underworld. Thanatos would LOVE it if you stopped by his place and BOOM! Your right at my door! And you can inter into the splendid darkness of the Underworld! And don't forget to tell your parents kids, its all FREE! Are you tired of bright sun and hot sand? The Underworldis THE place for you!
Lord of the Underworld...God
actually.

How old do you think Clarisse is? I've always thought that she is 2 years older than Percy but I can't remember why I think so. However, in Lightining Thief she is said to be about 13-14 years old so technically she can be about the same age as Percy and Annabeth, because Percy turned 13 in summer. Maybe she was 13 but had her 14th birthday later in wintertime. So, 0-2 years older, what do you think?

You are asking me! Why the Styx would i know or care about that brats age? Her father's a jerk and a menace. To me any way. Always let's attack them or let's kill him! UGH! You mortals are idiots!
