Seeing as its no longer in Beta, and the rest of us are finally joining.. Whats everyone's usernames? And what does every one think so far? Now that the wait is over...
So far I'm kinda like... this is it? This is what I waited for? But I do find the side stuff interesting. I'm kinda sad though, it gave my Slytherin... I always get Ravenclaw. I don't really have a problem with Slytherin house, but now its just like I don't know whether to call myself Slytherin because of Pottermore, something from J K herself, or to go with Ravenclaw because I always get it everywhere else *is having an identity crisis*
By the way my User name is CrimsonMoonstone603

I got Ravenclaw (I knew I would either get that or Slytherin) and I was excited. I didn't really understand it at first but now that I've been on it its cool. I like it a lot and its fun to use and to see all the stuff like in the chapters.
My username is sunbludger10293

I was in beta and I feel the same way. It's not as fun as I'd hoped.

So far, my favorite part is all the Mcgonagall backstory.. Its like I knew obviously had to have a past but I never put much thought in it. I feel like I'm meeting her character all over again.

I haven't recieved my confimration email, yet (I signed up about five or ten minutes ago), and one thing I do have do say kind of bothered me is that the registration process asked for my name, my country of residence, and my date of birth, alongside my email address (and potentially logging my IP, who knows?), but then refuses to allow me to choose my own username, in the interests of "child protection".
That is pretty ridiculous. Especially since I hate having numbers in my username. I'm pretty fussy over usernames, online, because they are the first impression people get of you. And there was no choice.
1) They could have installed a code to remove this feature for over 18s, since they take down your DOB. 2) If they were really that bothered about "child protection", they should not have asked for so many personal details, instead keeping it almost entirely anon.
That aside, I'm sure I'll enjoy it, once I get in there.
EDIT: I'm in Ravenclaw. Booyah. Username is StarFlame17596 [re-edit, forgot my old login details, new account] QuillRiver3555, I'll accept your request if you send it, but please send me a message on here so I know who you are, yeah?

I thought that was kinda silly myself, I don't understand why they did that. I mean I do kinda like the username I picked, but at the same time I always use the same one. I wish there was more interactions between users, more than just the common room and great hall. its hard to talk to people because everyone is there, and sending messages. As well as they don't get sent right away, you have to wait for them to show up. I feel like they should have more options for those who are older, it makes sense to me. Maybe they'll change it down the road.

I was sorted into Ravenclaw! And I'm excited for the third book to come out so I can find out my patronus, even though the second book still hasn't made it's appearance. Which is most upsetting.

How do you wave your wand to complete your potions? I could never get it and now I'm stuck.

Just click on the wand, this stick like this lying on the table, and it'll fly up. Then use your mouse to drag it around near your cauldron. It should go back down on its own.

I feel like Pottermore's quiz really depends on how you feel when you take it. For instance, last year I took it and got Ravenclaw. Then I created a new account very recently and got Gryffindor. And I decided I'd prefer to be in Gryffindor. But this year I feel differently than I did last year. I grew up more and learned more about myself. The quiz could never match up to a real Sorting Hat because rather than answer questions based on how you feel at the time, the Sorting Hat actually reads your mind and predicts what house will stand the test of time.

But the Sorting Hat doesn't know it all! And people do change, sometimes in unexpected ways, like Peter Pettigrew and Severus Snape (I love the alliterations haha). And Dumbledore did say, sometimes he thinks they Sort too soon. So I guess everything isn't foolproof.
I do agree with you, though, the quiz is definitely not the best. At least it's better than the others out there where every question has four answers, and you can just tell that picking a certain option will land you in a certain house for sure!

I really like we get to learn more about characters and that to me is totally awesome. I just hate waiting for more parts. My house is Gryffindor but that is unsurprising for me. I hope that in book 3 we get to pick our patronus My name on pottermore is RoseChaser16607

Slytherin FTW!!!!!!! lol. I wanted to get slytherin. I hate when people (*cough* Harry Potter *cough*) give it a bad rep just cause Voldemort was in it. If you read the little thing mr.sorting hat says about it, it's not actually a bad house! it's for determined people.

Hi, In the new view of this office, we see Professor Snape summoning Professor Lupin after he is insulted by Harry’s ‘spare bit of parchment’, whilst Harry looks on, bewildered. You can see the fireplace from where Lupin will materialise via Floo powder.
The Moment is still a work in progress, but we hope that this provides an exciting teaser until you are able to explore the finished Moment – Zonko’s bag and all – in the next instalment of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
