Anyone else who read Delirium? Opinions?
Personally, I loved the book right on through! It's been a while since I've read it but I remember the basic gist of the plot. I am hoping there is a sequel! Does anyone know if there will be? (: ((I saw that this board was empty so I thought I'd give it a post! ))

I read this book and loved it! Lena and her friends are such great characters and the concept behind the world is so fantastic, not to mention the prose!
I'm actually suggesting it for the forums first "Book Club" book, seeing as the sequel, Pandemonium, comes out March 6!

I've been meaning to for forever now!
I absolutely loved, loved, LOVED Lauren Oliver's other book, Before I Fall. I have found that I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to books, but that book actually made it into my top five! Has anyone else here read it?
Anyway, Delirium has constantly been checked out from the library for months now and Barnes & Noble is on the other side of town. I'm hoping to find someone that has read it so I can borrow it from them, but if it takes too long, I may just break down and buy it.

I have Before I Fall on my book shelf, it's on my list of "Still need to read!" It looks really good and I've found quotes on GoodReads from the book and it just makes me want to read it more! (:

I loved it!
I'm feeling kind of iffy about the sequel but I hope it turns out to be as good or better than the first one.

(: Lauren's writing in it is superb. It just sucks you write into the story with its beautiful prose. I definitely suggest you read it!

I have to agree there--her writing is quite lovely! <33 And I will, soon as I start and finish the first book in the Hunger Games! (:

(: I would say, "Definitely do that!", but you are really going to be sucked into the story and hoping that March 23rd (the movie's release date) would get here faster! Trust me, the wait is torcherous! Kind of fun, but agonizing, too! Haha, can't believe that I am saying this, but put it off as long as you can! Like, a week before the movie comes out!

There are a ton of great books in the Fandom. I couldn't put down Divergent and of course -- LOVE HP and Hunger Games. But as far as writing goes, does anyone do description better than Lauren Oliver? Her writing was so incredible.
I am really hoping people give her style a chance, because she's amazing! (Can't wait for Pandemonium!)

I read it when it had only been out for a few months I think- I was in the airport with nothing much to do, so I just went to the bookstore and picked up the first interesting thing, which turned out to be this book XD
I'm definitely excited for the sequel :3
Also, I've read and loved Before I Fall- though the main character annoyed me to no end, I did enjoy getting to watch her grow and become a better person.

They all annoyed me at first because I'm kind of on the other side of the spectrum. Never have been popular, never have cared to. But, towards the end, I really grew to like each and every one of her friends, which I believe is sign of a great storyteller.

I read it! I got it for my birthday. It was very...Matched(mates are chosen by government, seemingly peaceful with a dark secret)-meets-Uglies(surgery at a young age, people who have had the surgery are treated better than those who haven't, main girl runs away to live in the woods, handsome rebel love interest)
