I'm not really sure what mine would be. I think it would be some sort of bird, maybe an eagle or falcon. Other than that I have no idea. What do you think?

Hey do you think that in a magical world of crossover, your daemon's form would be the same as your patronus? Anyway, i think my daemon would be maybe a fox, or possibly a cat. Something stealthy but vicious but cute XD

I would say an arctic fox or leopard. Arctic fox because of how they hunt in the wild, their living habits, and where they live. Leopard for the same reasons.

I would actually have to disagree. I have always been under the impression that while my patronus would be a polar bear, my daemon would be a Saw-Whet Owl. Its like a smaller owl. Either that or an otter.

My daemon would probably be somewhat depressing. It would be kind of amusing, but not that practical. Like a hedgehog or something LOL

I was honestly going to say mine would be a hedgehog, because I'm shy and pretty harmless, then I saw your post :L

I feel like mine would be a mouse or a rabbit. Something small and quick, cautious and cute.

Well I really dunno, but perhaps it could be a tawny owl? Because at first one thinks it's all clever and owl-like, but for real it just sits in trees, doing nothing but chilling. Oh and I like the night quite a lot. I also think a tawny owl would be just as shitty as me at figuring out its daemon.
Oh, by the way, about this Harry Potter/His Dark Materials crossover. You know when one of the witches (can't remember which one right now, but I think it was Ruta Skadi) said that in another world, there were witches too, but there were also witch-men and their life-span was just as short as the humans'? I like to think that it's the Harry Potter world she's talking about, and then maybe their patronuses would be the same thing as daemons.

I always thought I would be an arctic fox or something like that. Just because while they can blend in with their surroundings well and sort of disappear from sight, like me, they can also be daring and they live in family groups in the summer but also live on their own, kind of like how I need to be left alone sometimes. Then again, daemons are supposed to represent the opposite to yourself, aren't they? Like, Pan is much more reserved and the voice of reason to Lyra, and Hester calms Lee down and all that, so maybe I'm approaching this in the completely wrong way.

I'm pretty concrete in the belief that my Daemon would be an ocelot. I've always loved them, as animals, I love their grace, and although they're smaller than most big cats, they're also bigger than most small cats. They can hold their own, and they don't back down, they prefer to sleep in the day, and they're generally quite solitary, which are all also traits that I tend to show. When I took the official Daemon test on the Golden Compass site, (although I'll admit it was hardly the most comprehensive psychoanalysis ) it gave me an ocelot named Castael. And then, a few days ago, a friend and I were talking about reincarnation(which she believees in, and I'm sceptical of), and how people tend to resemble, in appearance or characteristics, the animal their soul inhabited in a past life , and I was saying, "Well, yes, but there's a hole in that logic, because I don't really look like any animal. I look like an ugly big-nosed human-thing." And she came back with the ocelot, and mentioned the characteristics and the whatnots, and in all honesty I was caught a little off-guard by the coincidence of it all. Haha.
But yeah, sorry for the essay. I'd put a pretty solid bet on an ocelot being my Daemon.

Maybe an ermine, or a snow leopard, like Lord Asriel's.
