I consider it a guilty pleasure. While I enjoyed the first few books, it got to the point where the main characters were...boring. All this stuff happens to Zoe and she never really learns from her mistakes. The books take a very stereotyped view of religions besides its own godess centered one, and views homosexuality the same way Glee does. Not really that complex.
That being said...Dragon was my favorite character.

I have heard a bit about this but apparently it is rather.... boring It is. And for some reason, most of the Authors work seems to read like it. Predictable and boring with the occasional interesting character thrown in on the sideline.

I was like OBSESSED with these back in 8th grade. They are addictive. But their addictive-ness started to wear off after Burned. They're still a guilty pleasure, though.
And YES, Dragon for the win. Stevie Rae is also awesome.
Anyone else think Zoey's a Mary-Sue?

I remember liking these a lot. But I grew out of them as I started discovering other books. I would say they were boring and kind of cliche, but I still liked them all the same. I'd agree by saying they were a guilty pleasure c:

Its what I consider junk food, and I eat it all up. Though its one of the few series I didn't finish because after a certain point I felt it should end. Like I think the last two books I haven't read because I feel like the story is being drawn out a bit farther than it should have. I've heard nothing but annoyance from my friends that actually read them. I found it so discouraging I can't at this point in time bring myself to read them.
