Not extremely bad, but that's probably because I've reads tons of books with much worse, more DETAILED deaths.
But, there were tons of deaths in it, though, so I'd say a 7/10.
And poor Finnick! At the end of the book, all I could say to myself was, "Finnick is dead. Real or not real?" A small whimper. "Not real!!! Please!!!!"

Finnick's death still haunts me to this day. I just got the worst image of stinking roses, lizards with claws, and human guts and flesh all gurgling up out of a gutter as you close the grate.. just.. bad. Then, when the whole street opened up and a mysterious disgusting monster or bottomless pit swallowed people? GAH, bloody without actually seeing any blood. And I don't really need to mention the fact that the bombs raining down on children.. just.. yeah. I think S.C. absolutely HAD to make this book the bloodiest, and it would be hard to beat out the gore in the games.. so, it was necessary. Just sad.

Ugh. I remember that sick image of spikes going through a boy's body and the thought of electricity going through Johanna while she's soaked.

I thought the conclusion to The Code of Claw was worse... Gregor just laid there FOR AGES soaked in BLOOD. Plus, Suzanne used some of the same "shock" instruments in Mockingjay as she did in that one, so it didn't feel as interesting.

As far as actually being bloody goes, I don't think it was that bad. None of the deaths are particularly graphic. There's a lot of torture elements, but very few that you actually read firsthand. Most of it is another character describing what happens a long while after the fact UNTIL Boggs' legs blow up. There's a couple bloody scenes after that, but even after that part, a lot of the gore and death happen while Katniss is turned away.
8/10

Well, to me, the scenes aren't graphic. I think the violence is sort of phsycological, in my mind. If I saw it in a movie, it probably wouldn't be bad. I think it's the idea of so much deaths that makes me a bit queasy.
