Well, that depends. Honestly, Hunger Games is one of the top three series I have read in my entire life. But be warned, THG is violent. I know people who skip it for just this reason.Child deaths are here, some more sick than others. If you are willing to go past that, then I cordially invite you to the fandom of the Hunger Games. ;D

Definitely ! Something that should be read by everyone!! It's such an amazing book and though there is romance it isn't something that over powers the book like twilight.

THG isn't violent..
you want violence hit up 'The Enemy' & 'The Dead' both by Charlie Higson, 'The Maze Runner' series or the inheiritance cycle series
THG is a built up fighting romance. its supposed to be a futuristic Romeo & Juliet story where they fight for each other while everything is against them. the main theme of the book series (in my opinnion) is: if you want something you have to reach out and take it because nothing is given to anyone for free.

Just read it. There's really no reason why you can't or shouldn't. It's a good book.

It's very good. It's a heavy read though. Be prepared for emotion.
You will find yourself laughing, crying, and grieving over fictional characters. You will also find yourself in one of the most amazing fandoms in the world.

It's a view on government and communism. The writer is trying to show us what too much government control can do. Sure, there is a romance aspect. But it's in no way Romeo and Juliet. There is no "forbidden love". In fact, it's the opposite. Katniss and Peeta are forced together. The story is also about a girl who is forced to grow up to fast. Katniss is only 12 when she has to become the sole provider for her family. At 16 she is forced by law to become a murderer of other children. She has to support a mother and her little sister. This, my friend, is no romance novel.
