I actually cannot see Nico dying in BoO... Rick stated that Nico represents all the kids who can relate to him, and frankly, he's been through enough chaos. Killing him off, with him also being the only known LGBT character, would send off some bad signals... I think Rick realizes the kid needs a happy ending, and will come through.
