Has anyone read the Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray? A Great and Terrible Beauty Rebel Angels The Sweet Far Thing
I love them. The time period and atmospehre automatically pulled me in. I love the plot. And I love how the characters grow. The entire idea was kind of surreal to me, like it was almost a fairy tale, but a little more sinister. And when I first read the summary, I thought was going to be something utterly cheesy like Twitches or something of the sort. But I was very pleased with it. It has a sense of maturity and passion and...classiness that I really admire. I give props to Bray for her beautiful use of the English language.
I also love Libba Bray herself. I read her interviews and such...she's really someone I believe I could be friends with in the real world. c:

I loved this trilogy. When I first started reading it I was kind of bored but a friend of mine who had already read it told me to keep going. I'm glad I did because the ending was amazing. I was just amazed at the quality of writing in Libba Bray's books. I could literally see the worlds and all the characters in my mind. I loved it. I kind of want it to be a movie if Hollywood doesn't screw up.

Yeah, I was bored at the beginning as well. But then it got so good! I don't know if Hollywood could capture the feeling of the story correctly...

Yeah, after I read the first book, I would start pretending I could get into the Realms and stuff. My mom was worried o.o

Haha if I had dreams like that, I'd be extremely disappointed when I woke up. ):

Man i wish my dream could be that awsome, but i loved this series! Kartik was my favourite and i hated pip from the beginning, the world of the stories was amazingly crafted and so realistic I really wish it was all true.

I think I cried at one point while reading the books but I honestly can't remember because I've read a lot of books between then and now. I have a really long list of books I need to re-read. This series is now on that list... XD

These books were so brilliant. I had no idea what greatness I was getting myself into when I started these. Because of these books, if I have daughters, I want to name them Gemma and Pippa.

I read them back in High School and adored them. I'm actually rereading them at the moment. =] I loved the whole story. I loved that at first it had this sweet fairy tale feel to it, these girls find a magical realm where they can finally have their hearts desires, when things go dark and they see that theres more to their wonderland. I wish there was more to the series. When I read them the first time I got to the end of the last book and was like, but I want MOAR!!!!
